Head Sushi Chef Thursday to Saturday – £32K-£35K per annum.
Our client is looking to recruit a Head Sushi Chef (or an opportunity for an aspiring and ambitious Senior Sous Chef wanting to take that next step in their career) to help pioneer the first of an existing soon to be opened group restaurants in a premium Central London.
This will be a fusion of both modern and ground breaking flavours coupled with a unique story driven concept, to offer fresh, friendly and trendy service. The ideal Sushi Chef will be capable of creating new takes on traditional Japanese flavours, while having room to experiment with various choices. You must have worked in a similar role for a number of years with a wonderful knowledge of Japanese cuisine and techniques.
Their background and experience will be from a similar style operation and they will have their finger on the pulse of the current food trends. Working with seasonal fresh produce that is locally sourced to maximise the quality of food on offer. There will be a real emphasis on quality over quantity, and chefs will expected to be passionate and individual within their remit.
They will have the confidence to help recruit, train and develop the brigade, ensuring they are also delivering the best they can. • You have worked previously as either a Head Chef or Sous Chef Level to be considered
• Experience in a busy kitchen – across multiple disciplines would be a benefit and some experience within fine dining restaurant back ground would be an advantage
• Previous experience within a quality fresh food environment
• The passion for producing dishes to an excellent standard
• Solid knowledge on Health and Safety standards

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous chef ready to take the next step who is looking for a progressive and challenging Head Chef role. Previous experience as a sous chef in high standard establishments is a must. All applicants must be able to work varying shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
