We are presently recruiting for a SHIFT ENGINEER for a 5 star Central London Hotel.
Salary between 26K – 28K, depending on experience
You will be required to work 12 hour shifts – 2 days and 2 nights then 4 off – The shifts are from 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am.
To maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel to a world class standard with excellent attention to detail and accuracy following all UK legal and H&S requirements. To provide a first class customer service experience to all internal and external customers that you come into contact with.
•To carry out all maintenance requests in regards to the following areas and to be highly competent in these areas – E&M (including AHU’s, FCU’s & Split Units) Painting, Decorating, Plumbing, Carpentry, Plaster repair, Tiling.
•To ensure French Polishing and Painting are of an exceptional standard.
•To carry out all PPM schedules including fire alarm testing, water hygiene, emergency light testing and HVAC etc. as pre planned by the Chief Engineer.
•To have the capacity to diagnose faults relating to the BMS or any other electrical systems.
•To actively deal with any breakdowns, liaising with contractors as necessary.
•To follow and comply with all UK Statutory and Legal requirements as well as all the Company H&S Policies and Procedures at all times.
•To take the lead and initiative on personal training and development by attending any trade related training courses.
•To provide outstanding levels of customer service in line with the company brand values
•By demonstrating exceptional communication skills with colleagues and guests, having a positive attitude, being exceptionally reliable and demonstrating excellent demeanour.
Qualifications and Experience required
•The ideal candidate should be Trade Qualified in one or more key trades and hold relevant UK licences and qualifications – 17th Edition qualification is also ideal for the role.
•Knowledge and understanding of any of the following products would be advantageous. Lutron, Control 4, Trend BMS & CCTV, Access Control
